Introduction

In this present paper, we will discuss the eleven website designing criteria and the ways to add electronic commerce initiative to the business. Electronic commerce business is defined as the business in which trading of goods and services are done electronically by using computer networks For example the internet. E-Business is depending on technology such as internet marketing, mobile commerce, and inventory management system. 

Eleven website designing criteria

Following are the eleven website designing criteria for the effective business website:

1.    Brand driven design with professional outlook
The front page acts as a first impression on the viewer so it should reflect the positive impression of the existence of the company’s product and services. The site should convey the brand image and it should be managed in a professional manner.
2.    Clear and concise content for target audience
The website should contain clear and concise content with good designing which helps to attract target audience. The contents includes: About us, products and services, customer service, private policies and other important information (Grigorik et al., 2013).
3.    Educate target audience but don’t sell 
The website should educate the information about the company and its products which helps to create brand image.
4.    Consumer feedback and complaints
The website should have the option of feedback and complaints which helps to interact with the consumers.
5.    Insert call to Actions on each webpage
The website should have the option to call which helps to contact the company by clicking on the button.
6.    Optimize each webpage for the search engine
The search engine helps to find the product and services by the consumer through optimizing the page.
7.    Background
The background of the e-business should be simple pattern, and clean with the professional outlook. The background color should be white, off-white and other light color.
8.    Banners
The banner should be less than four and it should not be top which create an unprofessional outlook.
9.    Avoid excessive animation and flashing text
The excessive use of animation creates negative impression on the viewer and it looks annoying.
10.    Graphics and frames
The appearance of the webpage is very important which attracts the consumers. The frames should be avoided and if it used then it should be used in an appropriate manner.
11.    HTML and java script
The HTML should be done very professionally for good outlook and the java script should be done in an effective manner which helps to acts as a navigation aid.
Ways to add EC initiatives
Following are the ways to add EC initiatives in an existing business:
1.    E-procurement
The adding of online store channels and store front can be done creating a building case which is a practical strategy for the SME (Turban et al., 2015).
2.    Reverse auction and Auction
The building of own auction sites helps to add storefront at reasonable cost and reverse auction helps to integrate with more business partners.
3.    M-commerce
It acts as an effective tactics to promote the product through wireless connection.
4.    Portal
The portals are used for internal employees and consumers.
5.    Social commerce
It is used by the companies such as offer blogs and others.

The web page plays an important role in building the brand’s image. The criteria includes educate target audience, clear and concise content, brand driven design and others. The ways to add e-initiatives include social commerce, portal, web-store and others.
