Requirement

Write an assigment on RFID-Based Cashless Payment System

Solution

Introduction

The main purpose of this assignment is to critically analyze the Journal article RFID-Cashless Payment System published by Mohammad Farid and Muhammad Naim Handani. And to also analyses the features of the academic writing. In this article RFID-Based Cashless Payment System they mentioned about the use of the radio frequency identification in making payment and in tracking the product status (Murofushi et al ., 2015). According to Mohammad Farid and Muhammad Naim, they pointed out that most of the organization and retailer are following the traditional manner of payment which requires a lot of time and possesses the great chance of mistake. So with the introducing of this new technology based on radio frequency identification that is RFID payment can be done easily and in most convenient manner. As it will also reduce the risk of double counting or less counting. Due to this technology invention customer will also be benefited and prompt payment can be also possible through this radio frequency identification technology. As this technology will also enable to track the product in the process. And the customer can pay without involving any cash. Although bar code deduction and tracking system were used by many organization and this is cheaper also. It enables the organization to function smoothly and inconvenient manner. This journal was published with the hard work of Mohammad Farid and Muhammad Naim Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University Technology MARA, and Malaysia.

Synopsis

Here in this journal, the significance of Technology named as radio frequency identification in making the cashless payment is discussed. Here the main aim of this journal is to produce the clear knowledge of RFID cash less payment system advantage to the various organization and customer. In regards to barcode system. So for this, an experiment has been conducted to know the strength of this system over bar code detection system. According to Mohammad Farid and Muhammad Naim, they argue that barcode has very high chance to misread detection therefor RFID technology is better than a barcode.
According to Shuyi Qiao, Zhiqiang Wei and Yongquan Yang they analyzed the application of barcode and argue that barcode detection system is fine and can be used by food and vegetable industry instead of RFID technology as here they pointed out that bar code reader can read and track the item and can identify the stock also. As they said that if all the items are clearly marked and labeled with barcode image then tracking the product information through barcode scanner can be used.

Zeydin Pala and Nihat Inanc made studies on the RFID technology application in smart parking. And at the end, their studies showed that this technology is very effective and efficient and give an advantage to both company and the client. As they argue that this technology doesn't require any wire for transmission but it directly contact the client systematically. They also pointed out that this technology is very useful in increasing the sale efficiency and at the same time reduces the untracked items.

According to Miyazaki, Takashi Washio and Katsutoshi Yada they analyzed RFID technology importance and efficiency, for this they study the behavior of customer while shopping during residence time. So they argue that using this technology customer can detect by using RFID tag. This study proved that RFID technology can easily detect the presence of a tagged object without making the involvement of the customer. With this technology, real-time control can be possible. Studied made by the student in Sweden for installing the RFID technology in boarding and debarkation of personnel by controlling the check in and check out the procedure in vessels. They argued and proved that this RFID technology is far better than barcode technology because RFID technology is capable of reading all the tagged items or even object whereas printed bar code has high chance to have misread detection.
Various studies have been made by various scholar and literature about the RFID technology some argue that it is fine to install it as it will enhance the system and will lead to convenient payment system without involving the cash at all. Whereas some argue that this system is not portable and barcode system is more convenient in food and vegetable industry as there all the item are clearly marked and labeled so barcode can easily track the product information.

System overview

In very compact and small size the designing of this project has been done and as this is not portable also it will be located near the cashier’s counter only. Two distinct technology has been applied to this project with the same dad transmission concept. But additionally, this technology contains buzzer also which is used as the sound indicator to determine the tag has been scanned or not (Yamamoto et al., 2016). This technology also includes red and green light which indicated that tag is ready or not to be scanned. This technology intake the use of Graphical users interface in regards to retrieved and make the printing of the information.

Features of academic writing.

For academic writing, the author or writer should follow the certain rule in a way to make their audience attracted to read and to get success in delivering the exact message to the audience and the purpose of the article should be to meet. Some features are the proper introduction, complexity, formality, objectivity, accuracy planning, organizing, responsibility, hedging.
Here as I have read this article about RFID technology about cashless payment system and other similar articles what I found is that a great similarity exists between both the articles (Bailey et al., 2017). Here Mohammad Farid and Muhammad Naim in their journal article they very well mentioned the introduction part addressing the topic and its relevance in regards to customer and organization. They very well presented the objective of the study also that is the significance of the RFID technology in making cashless payment. Their language is also very simple they used more passive voice statement in their article and reader can easily understand the concept after going through it once. In a very formal way they address the situation and study and they didn't use any colloquial statement in their article. Proper facts and figure are given but missing date was found that is proper date and year is not mentioned in the article to support. In support of their claim regarding importance and efficiency of RFID technology, they sited proper example and they proved through demonstrating the experiment also. In support of their argument, they provided various research finding regarding RFID technology to support their stance. In this article, they clearly mentioned and provided various evidence to support their stance (Amin et al., 2017). In very well manner they have written the article after proper experimentation and evaluation and after making proper research on the topic. So proper planning is also found in their article. In addressing the audience both Mohammad Farid and Muhammad Naim was found successful as they have almost covered all the essential features which should be followed while drafting or writing the academic article or any journal article. Various fact and diagrammatical representation of the experiment has been demonstrated in a way to make the audience or reader more comfortable to understand the concept and themes. As they have started their article with introduction starting and focusing on the technology which is new and is helpful for both customer as well as the organization which attracted the reader to go through the entire article.

Similarity

I have found this article which is written by Mohammad Farid and Muhammad Naim very similar to other articles as this article also cover all the major features of the academic writing such as proper introduction, complexity and providing facts and figure. So this article I found very similar to other articles which I have read earlier.

Differences

What I found differences in this articles when compared to other article is that this article fails to point out the date and year of their experiment and research. Which is also necessary to provide the reliable statement. So here missing the proper date in experiment and year is found which I found in other academic articles that I have read before.

Success of the article

As far my observation this article which is written by Mohammad Farid and Muhammad Naim about the RFID technology to introduce the system of cashless payment which is helpful for both customer and as well as to organization serve their need in making organization and customer aware about this technology. So at the end, they meet their purpose of writing this article and supplying their views and experiment to implement the system based on radio frequency identification for making cashless payment. At the end, they got success in making aware about their views and experiment through their article which is published as titled as FRID technology cashless payment system.
