1. The leader I adulate the most is Steve Jobs. An iconic leader who founded Apple Inc. and Pixar, Steve Jobs also invented the popular Macintosh computer – a revolutionary PC for the people. Leadership Roles of Steve Jobs

  • Simplicity: the way Jobs used to present his inventions in front of the audiences was so simplistic yet powerful that it used to catch everyone’s attention straight away. In his devices, he had to write complex software codes but he excelled in designing minimalist devices.

2. The most conspicuous thing that I like about Steve Jobs is his sheer determination and perseverance to help resurrect one of the most successful companies of the world. In fact he is such a leader from whom many things can be learned. His journey has been the most astounding legacy of his life. Steve jobs was also famous for his ability to give speeches in a manner that captivated the audience. He was so charismatic that he used to communicate his ideas with the help of metaphors, analogies and storytelling. While we are talking of Job’s leadership style, it is important to know that he incorporated strategic leadership, which was characterized by his ability to anticipate and envision the future, maintain flexibility and initiate innovative changes (Isaacson, 2012). He was also known to have created competitive advantage for Apple Inc. in the future. His visionary attributes were so profound that he was able to see past the barriers. So, he thrived this unknowing nature of being a visionary. He was so brilliant, radical and visionary in his thinking that one of his former CEO was one quoted as saying “our jaws dropped when we heard this, but it turned out to be brilliant”.
 As a matter of fact, vision is crucial not only for a leader but for the employees as well. It is imperative that they also need to find dignity and meaning in their work, so that they could have a larger perspective as to what really constitute the purpose of their work. As we know, Steve Jobs is one of the most charismatic and successful leaders in the contemporary business world and for that reason we have hundreds of witnesses, biographers, employees as well as his business rivals who can provide enormous number of stories about his personality, character and ideals. Therefore, it was not very difficult to find study materials about his life and career. 
One such insightful incident was shared by one of the people who knew him. He told that Steve used to spend months rehearsing the preparations for the introduction of his products and other presentations. His uncanny ability to understand what the consumers need in a product made him one of the indomitable leaders of the 21st century (Goleman, Boyatzis & McKee, 2013). His success can also be attributed to his high level of Emotional Quotient (EQ). The effective thinking of Jobs was so profound that along with his own company, he helped transform as many as seven industries as well – personal computing, animated movies, music, phones, tablet computing, retail stores, and digital publishing. Effective thinking was so ingrained in his personality that the products he made were even emulated by his competitors. What he believed was that he wanted to create the best product than to sell the most. So, we can safely conclude that Steve never failed to live up the ideals that he set for himself and for others and that there is no doubt he left his unforgettable mark.
