Description of the Research
2007, in Southern Taiwan public hospital, the study/research has taken place at a 1266 bed. A usage of quantitative, questionnaire-based study was used to assess the occurrence and causes of verbal and social violence that nurses experienced in the hospital.  This is a descriptive, correlational study, with data collection that included self-reports of participants and a well-structured questionnaire (demographics and nature of the workplace violence experienced).  A total of 880 questionnaires were given to nurses (n = 880) with a return rate of response of 89.9%.
Value and Significance
The outcome of the study’s final result showed that in outpatient units and emergency room nurses are working and were exposed more often to violence than nurses in other units.
Shortcomings or Bias
The limitation of this study shows how difficult is to compare hospital with other types or sizes of hospitals, for this reason, some of the findings might not apply to other hospitals.

The study sample comprises of a population of 970 female nurses working on 47 nursing units.  The methods included the second version of the medium-sized Copenhagen Psychosocial Questionnaire (COPSOQ II) to measure supply and demand work, trust, justice, and violence. Rodwell, J., Demir, D., & Flower, R. L. (2013). The oppressive nature of work in 
healthcare: predictors of aggression against nurses and administrative staff. Journal Of Nursing Management, 21(6), 888-897 10p. doi:10.1111/jonm.12086
Main Purpose and Scope
To evaluate the history of WPV amid nurses and administrative staff.
Description of the Research
Surveys were given to nurses and administrative personnel who worked in an Australian healthcare organization.  Violence types, environmental and individual characteristics were measured. 547 surveys were sent to nurses, and 223 surveys were sent to administration staff of healthcare. The value of responses for nurses was 34% and 85% of the administration staff.  Data were analyzed using SPSS tool 19.0 (IBM Corp 2010). To test the antecedent relationships of workplace aggression with the JD-R and NA variables for each violence type, the Ordinal regression analyzes were used. 
Value and Significance
Nurses often experienced the external abuse emotionally and intimidating, usually suffered by the administration staff.
Shortcomings or Bias
Limitations shown the cross-sectional nature of the study, the causality between variables cannot be inferred, rather the other associations can only be determined.
