The Fair Labor Standards Act is a federal law that establishes overtime pay eligibility, minimum wage, child labor standards, and Record-Keeping that would affect both full-time and part-time workers working in local, state, and federal governments along with private sector organizations for every employee holding positions is covered under the compulsory overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. Overtime eligible employees are supposed to be compensated with compensatory time or overtime pay for each hour war over 40 hours in a single workweek. Every overtime-eligible employee is supposed to fill out Time and Attendance Records to comply with the regulations and standards of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
