We have reached the end of the course and prior to taking this course, I was unaware of the importance of research practices in a nursing setting. I learned how research is incumbent in improving the quality of the care provided to our patients. It allows an individual in nursing practice to enhance their expertise skills and to implement evidence-based practice (EBP) in providing appropriate that can benefit our client. This course imparted me with the knowledge of different techniques and methods associated with research processes. This includes qualitative and quantitative research methods that enable us to acquire adequate data required for conducting evidence-based practice. The application of EBP confronts enormous challenges, particularly when considering patient-centeredness in delivering care.
