How to Add Value in Classrooms?

To create a clan classroom, first we have to identify the problems with them and what cause disturbances among students inside it. Version-1

  • Use Think-Pair-Share strategy: Think-pair-share strategy is a way where you can ask your students what their partner thinks or said about the question asked by you. When you ask a question and students discuss with each other before anyone answers and then ask your students to reply, not what they consider, but what their friend said.
  • Use Three-Hand Rule:  It means don’t ask anybody name until there are at least three hands raised.
  • Power to others: Try to recognise that the means which never give a chance to those who are shy in nature. Politely refuse the students who have answered already and ask carefully those who never give answers. Ask them to share their thoughts graciously.
  • Give enough time to think the answer: Teachers often over calculate approximately how long they remain after asking a question before doing any other things. Let the students think because who are not as fluent or self-confident usually, require more time to frame an answer.

  • Make your arguments stronger: It is always advisable that never raise your voice, but make your arguments stronger. Recognise which students generally feel fear to disagree with each other. Address those worry with guidelines and advice them to disagree in a constructive manner.
  • Silly reason to agree: Some students always agree because it is the easiest thing to do, especially if they have not really any interest in the context. Use the strategies, possibly even tasks, which make them prepared to join in a debate.
  • Analyse the ideas: Not necessarily a student should disagree with others, but also with the theories and ideas of others in the study. Do it in a graceful and constructive manner which has a value.
  • Pointing out: If some contradictory comments are raised, then pay attention to them, pointing out what they add to the debate.

Version-3

  • Listen properly: Ask for a student reply and then ask another student to act in response to what the first student alleged.
  • Ask open ended questions: Ask more related questions which are interlinked with each other so that mixtures of diverse answers are discovered.
  • Summarise the answers: Listen the students carefully what they say. Solicit an important, motivating question and then testimony on the board or electronically. A variety of student answers before commenting on any of them, summarise what students say. It cannot be done exactly without listening properly.
  • Encourage them by giving credits: Show your students that you give value to their answers. Let other students know about the special one who gave the right comments and answers. It will encourage them more.
