Statement of Ethics - Personal Ethical Pillars

Requirement

Write about Statement of Ethics.

Solution

Introduction

I will state some of my personal ethics statements that I conform while I stand for or against the actions of this society. My actions and reactions to the individuals I interact or confront with depends on various factors and I will ponder over some of them in this article.
Personal ethics are considered as the beliefs that are fundamental to one’s perception of the self and surrounding and the actions that reflect. The Dictionary of Oxford explains “ethics” as “principles that govern a person’s behaviour or the conducting of an activity”.
I consider ethics as interim part of the life of a human being and it can be stated without a doubt that whatever I see, think and understand always try to conform to the opinions I hold about the ethics.

As a rational human being, I believe one always faces situations where one need to decide over the actions they should take to conform to the norm of the society or against the society. My judgement about the good or bad situations or decisions in a society states that conformity to anything from the society is considered good and non-conformity to even a just thing from the society is considered bad.
My personal ethics are combination of things that I believe allows me to be accepted as a just person in the society and the country I live in. Being a social animal, it is my responsibility that even if things are considered unjust in personal reflection, sometimes it becomes imperative to consider the same as just if the society to agrees to same.
I believe the society and the country understand their own good and, therefore, conforming to their opinion is what funds my bank of ethics.
My ethics have always helped me to choose the option that is more helpful to me and the people around me and I believe holding on to such ethics is more important at the moment.

Personal Ethical Pillars

I consider honesty as one of the many ethical pillars that has helped me build as a person of value. My reliance to truth has helped me more than the orientation to left side of the picture. I never agreed to the idea of taking credit of others work at multiple times which I would prefer not to disclose here.
The opportunities were immense to do so and establish myself as more credible and exceptional than others. However, my ethics compelled me to choose what is right over the wrong.
The second element of ethics that I orient to is ‘hard working’. I believe to get something in return I must first pay out. Therefore, I always pay others through my hard work and expect less in return. Expectation of more than one pays always brings despair and eventually impacts one’s ability to perform with same capability and zeal in the future.
Higher expectations impact the enthusiasm of achievement (Becker et al, 2011). Therefore, I have embraced this as the third factor which always keeps me zealous towards my goals and objectives.
I rarely conform to individuals who accept dishonesty and have distaste to hard work. Such orientation of mine always helped me protect myself from the friends and colleagues who are oriented towards such thinking and do no good to the society and themselves.
I never cheated in the examination, stole anything from anyone, always stood for the righteous. My ethics helped me be a person I wanted to be and achieve what I wanted to achieve.
My next most important ethical element is the acceptance of everything rationally. Being rational helps me keep my emotions away from any decisions I take for myself or my well-wishers. I believe justice is the pillar to the society and the country. A rational orientation of towards all my actions has helped me being a just person who is able to do justice to almost all things that I pass by.

Conclusion

In the end, I would like to state that my four ethics – honesty, hard-work, proper expectation, and rational orientation – has helped me grow as a person I am today. I believe moving ahead with the same orientation will be beneficial for me and the society and the country I live in.
